Since 1997, we’ve combined architecture, interior design, and design to create spaces that work—and express character.
Founded in 1997 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Juan Velázquez Architecture & Design Studio brings together architecture, interior design, sculpture, and design to turn ideas into real spaces—functional and full of identity.
Our experience spans residential projects, prefabricated housing, schools, offices, building refurbishments and hotel renovations, sports facilities, full-scale renovations, urban planning, and interior design. Alongside this, we develop industrial design solutions and have obtained several patents.
We also work internationally, collaborating with Volkswagen’s Architectural Planning Department in Braunschweig (Germany) on projects for dealerships, workshops, and offices for Audi, Volkswagen, and Škoda—both in Spain and in countries such as Venezuela, Cape Verde, and Mauritania.
A multidisciplinary team—architect, quantity surveyor, engineer, drafter, and more—coordinates every phase to deliver a service that is solid, agile, and cohesive.

For this spa in Maspalomas, a wellness space was created where architecture flows like water: a continuous mantle of wooden slats ripples across ceilings and walls like waves, wrapping the visitor in an atmosphere of calm. Light integrated between the timber elements enhances the sense of movement and adds warmth, while the carefully chosen materials turn the whole into a coherent sensory experience—designed for rest and well-being.
